Brrr! It’s been a chilly few days across the country as the ‘Beast from the East’ strikes the UK with a vengence, with storm Emma soon to follow. Our weather is crazy this year! Everyone I speak to is complaining how bitterly cold it is; comparing minus temperature gauges, grumbling about school closures and swapping snow pictures. For me, I am just glad I don’t have to walk too far to get the office; I left my big coat hanging up at the caravan back in January!
Up at Hopton Holiday Village, it’s all looking very wintery and cold too. There’s snow on the ground, the pipes are frozen, the coffee machine is off and there’s blustery winds and dangerous road conditions too, with many roads in the area closed or barely passable.
Have you seen the park in the snow?
Most of you only see the holiday park in the warmer weather when the sun is shining and the birds are signing so I thought I would share some of the snow pictures taken by the housekeeping team.
They have kindly been out on site today checking on some of the caravans as they are at risk of freezing pipes and other issues relating to inclement weather. Hats off to them for braving the weather and giving up their free time to reassure owners. Fingers crossed the caravans will all be ok and Dave and Julie soon thaw out with a nice cup of tea in front of the fire.
So, here they are… pictures of a holiday park in the snow. Feel free to share your snow pictures in comments, how bad is it where you are?
Stay safe everyone!
